Just came across this Tango HP takeover on YouTube this morning, prompting me to click to watch a ‘Dancing Granny’. Never one to pass on a bit of amusement, i gave it a click and watched the video then went through to the Tango YouTube channel page.
Once i got through to the channel page there was another bit of fresh video content , and extended Tango commercial ad .
Tango have obviously done a tie-up with Ram Records drum ‘n’ bass producer ‘ Lomax’ , as all the ads contain his track. A bit of consumer insight must suggest that Tango drinkers like a bit of a tear up on the dance floor. Within the channel there is a drum ‘n’ bass mix channel that allows users to create their own version of the Lomax track entitled the ‘ T n B Raver’ Channel.
Lots of brands using YouTube in different ways , so always interesting to see how channels such as the above are collated in striving for user retention
